2022 - 2024

Software Engineer.

Unmanned Vehicles Applied Dynamics (UVAD).

Medicine Hat, AB.

Working in the development of software for the next generation of UAVs. My experience covers the planning and implementation of robust vehicle applications and the accompanying software in ground control stations using primarily C/C++ and Python.

2021 - 2022

Lead Electrical Engineer.

aUToronto.

Toronto, ON.

A self driving car is an ambitious project for many teams to tackle. In 2022, I guided aUToronto's electrical team in the effort to develop a synchronization system for the car's sensor suite (LiDAR, Camera, IMU, GPS, Radar) using FPGAs.

The team also managed the installation of hardware with a focus on safety and modularity.

2021 - 2022

ADCS Project Advisor

The FINCH mission will act as a remote-sensing CubeSat for studies of methane emissions.

Still in early development, my participation included the review and implementation of state estimation algorithms for the satellite using MATLAB and Simulink.

Ecuador is a country blessed with the magnificent Andes Mountains. However, it also translates in high seismic activity.

For my research, I employed state-of-the art DSP techniques for seismic signal processing and event classification.

My path to obtain the M.Eng degree at University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies (UTIAS) focused on many important fields in robotics and spaceflight.

The completion of the emphasis in robotics encouraged me to learn about: perception, control, orbital/flight dynamics, state estimation and motion planning among other topics.
